Role Description

We're looking for a talented Lead Product Designer to join our Core Bank & Liquidity team -a mission critical part of our business current account offering.

You'll lead design efforts for key features that help small businesses take control of their finances, including: - Bulk payments and payment scheduling - Smart savings pots with dynamic interest rates - Core transaction experiences - Evolution of our existing journeys for better end-to-end customer outcomes This is a unique opportunity to shape how business banking should work.

You'll define UX strategy, mentor and lead a close-knit but talented team of designers and drive best-in-class practices across your pod. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to design impactful, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Define & Lead UX Strategy

• Set a compelling UX vision and strategic direction aligned with team OKRs and company goals.

• Use insight from data, research, and technical constraints to shape product direction.

• Champion customer-centric decision-making across the product lifecycle.

Drive Quality & Delivery

• Lead design work end-to-end from discovery and user journeys to polished UI and Figma specs.

• Balance speed and craft to ship MVPs and iterate based on feedback.

• Use AI and design systems to optimise efficiency and scale consistently.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide designers in your pod. Inspire them to grow and maintain a high bar.

• Foster a collaborative environment - leading critiques, sparring on ideas, and embedding design throughout the delivery process.

• Be a visible design advocate in your squad and across the company.

Evolve Product Experiences

• Improve and modernise existing journeys - not just building new.

• Ensure cohesive experiences across payments, savings, and transactions.

• Own UX outcomes in your domain, ensuring your work ladders up to a seamless end-to-end customer journey

• You have 5+ years of experience designing world-class digital products, in-house.

• You have a strong portfolio showcasing impactful product design work across iOS, Android, and web platforms.

• You have a deep understanding of UX and human behaviour, ensuring designs are intuitive, accessible, and user centric.

• You have a keen eye for visual design, with strong skills in typography, grids, and UI design.

• You're technically aware, you understand the implications of your design decisions and collaborate effectively with engineers.

• You articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively to stakeholders
