Project Overview:
We are supporting a Cloud Automation initiative for a major UK Communication Service Provider (CSP). The focus is to enhance Life Cycle Management (LCM) automation for their Cloud Native Core Network, involving both CNF (Cloud-Native Functions) and ANF/PNF (Appliance/Physical Network Functions).
We are seeking a Nokia CNF experienced - Lead Cloud Automation Designer to drive the automation roadmap and high-level design (HLD) aligned with existing architecture, tools, and strategic goals. We are looking for a candidate with previous operator experience, doing same work!

- Understand the CSP's current automation architecture, toolset, and LCM use cases.
- Consolidate automation requirements, use cases, and architecture into a single traceable design document.
- Prepare a multi-vendor High-Level Design (HLD) for LCM automation and orchestration.
- Define E2E workflows (deploy, upgrade, rollback) for one CNF and one ANF, including:
- All stages (prep, scanning, deployment, testing, etc.)
- Failure scenarios and recovery
- API/interface specifications (orchestrators, inventory, Git repo, artifact repo)
- Design automation flows across test, pre-production, and production environments.
- Specify CNF/ANF data models, Git/Inventory sync mechanisms, and Day0/Day1 parameterisation templates.
- Recommend workflow deltas when transitioning from one CNF/ANF type to another.
- Contribute to integration design across cloud environments (eg NCS & AWS).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Senior-level experience in Telco Cloud automation design and architecture.
- Strong background in 4G/5G Core networks - preferably Nokia You Core.
- Hands-on experience with LCM automation across Cloud Infra, CaaS, CNFs and ANFs.
- Deep understanding of GitOps practices (eg ArgoCD, FluxCD), CI/CD, and test automation tools.
- Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Robot Framework, Python.
- Experience with RHOCP and AWS EKS-based cloud-native deployments.
- Proven ability to create robust, reusable and modular automation workflows across telecom domains.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Eligibility & Location Requirements:
