Lead Analytics Consultant - Permanent - Remote (UK) with occasional travel to London - £75,000 - £90,000

Are you an experienced Lead Analytics Consultant with a strong background in data engineering, Business Intelligence and cloud-based analytics solutions?

This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of advanced analytics and Business Intelligence solutions for major UK organisations. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with client advisory and project leadership, supporting the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based analytics platforms.

This opportunity is well suited to a consulting professional who enjoys translating complex business requirements into data-driven solutions while leading teams and delivering high-quality analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advisory support to clients on advanced analytics and data engineering best practices

  • Lead analytics engagements from requirements gathering through to solution design and implementation

  • Design and deliver cloud-based data engineering and Business Intelligence solutions

  • Develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar tools

  • Lead data modelling, transformation, and ETL/ELT pipeline development

  • Design scalable data architectures and analytics platforms

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned to business objectives

  • Support and guide team members while ensuring successful project delivery


Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering cloud-based data engineering and analytics solutions

  • Extensive experience in a client-facing consulting role, ideally within a consultancy or systems integrator

  • Proven track record of leading teams or delivering analytics projects

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL

  • Experience with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory

  • Familiarity with modern data platforms including Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks

  • Expertise in data visualisation and analytics tools such as Power BI, QlikView or Tableau

  • Strong experience in data modelling, transformation, ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing

  • Awareness or experience with Big Data, Data Science, AI or Machine Learning technologies

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
