As a Lead Agile Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for driving delivery performance across multiple platform teams, delivering a platform-as-a-service for hundreds of users. You will guide, mentor and enable multidisciplinary teams, champion modern Agile delivery practices, and shape delivery strategy across CDIO.

This is an exciting opportunity to join HMRC's Chief Engineering and Platform Office (CEPO) as a Lead Agile Delivery Manager on the Multi-channel Digital Tax Platform (MDTP).
As Lead Agile Delivery Manager, you will act as a senior delivery leader across several platform engineering teams that make up MDTP - an award-winning Platform-as-a-Service that hosts HMRC's front-end digital services. Working alongside MDTP's Lead Platform Owner and Technical Architect, you will remove organisational blockers, support teams in improving flow, set best practice for delivery within a platform engineering context, drive value through delivery and create an environment that produces and encourages high-performing teams.

You demonstrate resilience, sound judgement and a passion for growing capability in others. You foster inclusive, psychologically safe environments where teams can thrive and deliver their best work.
You are a credible and experienced senior delivery professional with substantial experience delivering complex digital services within large organisations. You bring a calm, pragmatic leadership style and the ability to balance delivery pace with thoughtful risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive experience leading delivery across multiple complex digital products and/or platforms in an agile environment.
• Deep expertise in Agile delivery methods, tools and techniques, applied in varied and challenging contexts and ability to set the standard for delivery best practice.
• Proven experience working with a platform/product manager (or equivalent) to deliver a high-value Platform-as-a-Service that is user-focussed, and coaching teams in Agile, outcome-based delivery.
• Experience delivering a platform roadmap made up of multiple products, tools, and capabilities: and/or experience of delivering multiple multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities on large scale, high-visibility deliveries: managing cross-team dependencies, identifying, resolving and forward-planning to mitigate teams blocking each other to maintain momentum.
• Highly effective stakeholder-management skills, including influencing senior leaders and shaping strategic direction.
• Strong track record coaching and developing Delivery Managers, supporting professional capability growth.
