Landscaping Manager

Hello, and thank you for your interest in leading the Landscaping department at the Leckford Estate. This is a key leadership role where you will be tasked with transforming the department into a highly profitable and efficient business unit. We are looking for an inspiring manager who can combine commercial acumen with a passion for horticulture. The ideal candidate will have:

- A track record of driving sales and commercial success
- The flair and innovation to engage customers and deliver exceptional landscaping projects and customer service
At a glance:
- Salary: £33,500.00 - £51,000.00 per annum based on skill and experience
- Contract type: This is a permanent position
- Hours and location of the role:
- 39 hours per week
- The working location is Longstock Park, Leckford Estate, Hampshire
- Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM
Key responsibilities:
- Maximise productivity for all tasks undertaken and delegated, commercial benefits surpassing expected productivity measures where they exist
- Be proactive in driving the commercial performance of the landscaping team, offering ideas for continuous improvement to the operational manager
- Understand the role of stock management, invoicing and contract processes, as every individual has responsibility for our commercial success
- Ensure Partners undertake the required due diligence (HSE, H&S, IOSH) to comply with all relevant operational procedures at all times, bringing any areas of concern/recommendations to the managers attention with a planned course of action
- Ensure customers are at the centre of all operational decisions, leading Partners as a role model in outstanding customer service
- Ensure Designs are delivered with clear plans that delight and inspire, while fully adhering to the customer brief
- Work with Partners to ensure they are fully supported, delivering clear objectives and goals on a daily basis
- Develop Partners knowledge of IT systems and internal financial procedures
- Promote democracy within the Landscaping team; highlight and support the role of Local Voice / Forum meetings and encourage Partners to share and respect others opinions
Essential skills and/or experience you'll need:
- Team Leadership experience
- Practical experience of a landscaping business or similar
- Project management skills
- Computer skill and attention to detail
- Proven commercial and business acumen
- A full, clean driving licence
