As a key member of the Taw Valley QEHS Laboratory team you will be assisting with the efficient running of the laboratory ensuring that our products and material meet the high safety and quality levels expected.
Some key responsibilities- Conduct tests to analyse products and materials.
- Interpret results of analyses and elevate non conformance issues as required.
- Communicate and report results to relevant departments.
- Accurate data entry of results and sample details.
- Ensure correct use of defined company standards and procedures.
- Ensure instrumentation and equipment is functioning and calibrated.
- Ensure calibrated and verified methods are used.
- Management of laboratory material stocks and ordering.
- Liaise with external contract laboratories and service providers.
- Maintain laboratory safety and 5S levels.
The successful candidate will ideally have vocational / technical education and have experience in laboratory practice or worked in a similar role. They are a strong communicator with a understanding of food safety principle and practices. You will be a team player with an exceptional attention to detail and be IT literate (including the use of Microsoft Office and SAP).

Applicants must be physically fit as a large part of the day requires spending time at the bench conducting analysis and in the factory collecting samples.
