Job DescriptionWe are seeking a L3 Infrastructure Engineer to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team. The role reports to the Datacenter Services Manager (Europe) and involves supporting project work and maintaining the server infrastructure's operations and integrity.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
The L3 Infrastructure Engineer will support and maintain a reliable IT infrastructure within an ITIL framework, collaborating effectively with colleagues and the wider business. Responsibilities include implementing and improving infrastructure systems/services.
- Proactively respond to system alerts.
- Maintain server and storage infrastructure across Europe and globally.
- Ensure data backup and archive systems integrity.
- Participate in project work, including system upgrades and integrating acquisitions.
- Suggest improvements to IT infrastructure, considering technical and commercial aspects.
- Work with global IT teams to develop and deploy new servers or migrate legacy systems to data centers and Azure.
- Manage support requests and incidents via the IT ticketing system.
- Engage in cross-training to mitigate knowledge gaps.
- Alert management to potential risks or issues affecting system availability or business reputation.
- Communicate effectively with agencies and suppliers to resolve problems.
Key Competencies:
Technical Skills:
Experience or knowledge in the following areas is expected:
- Windows Server administration (), ideally Microsoft certified
- Microsoft Azure fundamentals/administration, ideally Microsoft Certified
- VMWare/vCenter 7.x - 8.x operations & administration
- Enterprise backup solutions (NetBackup, Veeam, tape libraries)
- RedHat/CentOS Linux Server administration
- Server hardware (HP/Dell)
- Enterprise Storage (iSCSI/Fibre SAN and NAS)
- Active Directory/Group Policy
- Network monitoring (Solarwinds, SNMP)
- TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Ethernet and Fibre cabling/patching
Role Requirements:
- Log all incidents, tasks, and requests in the ticketing system and manage within SLAs.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Coordinate with support teams to resolve issues promptly and escalate as necessary.
- Respond professionally to issues.
- Support the IT environment to high standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
