Learning & Development Manager

Hybrid - Swindon or London

Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 + Bonus

We are currently recruiting for a Learning and Development Manager to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to lead and shape the Learning and Development strategy across our regions, working closely with our Chief Human Resources Officer and People Business Partners.

This role is a great opportunity for someone to bring their own experiences and creativity to our business, scoping the role as it grows.

Chief Human Resources Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the HR Director to develop a culture of learning, and take full responsibility for the Learning and Development pillar of the People Strategy across the organisation
  • Developing, designing, and delivering L&D programmes suiting the needs of the organisation
  • Working with Business Directors and Line Managers to understand capability and skills gaps and facilitate programmes, training, and workshops to address this. Building out a robust Training needs analysis process for use moving forward
  • Reviewing and developing our Management Training and Leadership Development programme, assessing the current provision, and making recommendations for improvement
  • Ownership of graduate programmes and seeking to continue to evolve this in line with the business needs
  • Taking an active role in embedding our Performance Management process
  • Working with the wider People team, support on ED&I training initiatives as part of the wider ED&I strategy
  • Owning the relationship with Learning partners and suppliers and taking responsibility for the L&D budget on both a quarterly and monthly basis
  • Working with line managers and People Business partners to build career path mapping and building learning paths for our roles
  • Reporting on L&D metrics on a monthly basis

Skills & Behaviours

  • Strong experience as a Learning and Development specialist in FinTech
  • Qualifications in Learning and Development (CIPD or similar) and a passion for continuous professional development
  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced, matrixed, and constantly changing environment, working at both an operational and strategic level
  • You have excellent communication and exceptional training development, delivery, and facilitation skills to deliver with impact
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building and influencing capability to work to understand and solve different problems.
  • You are a strong negotiator, when dealing with external suppliers to ensure we get the best value possible to make the most of our Learning budget
  • Good time and project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a challenging and busy workload
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed
