Job Description
KS2 Primary Teacher - Ashtead, Surrey - September 2026 Start

We are currently recruiting for a KS2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Ashtead, Surrey, starting September 2026. This is a full time teaching role (Monday to Friday) suitable for both an experienced Primary Teacher and an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop within a nurturing, pupil led environment.

Role

Full classroom responsibility within Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Support pupil progress, attainment and independence.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and structured classroom environment.
  • Encourage resilience, curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
Requirements
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent - essential.
  • Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.
  • Previous experience in a UK primary school setting (or placements for ECTs).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, nurturing and pupil led approach to teaching.
  • Understanding and commitment to supporting individual learning needs.

Salary & Contract

£150 - £180 per day (PAYE), depending on experience. Full time, long term role starting September 2026.
