Milk Education are working in partnership with an SEN school who are looking to appoint a Confident and Qualified Primary SEN Teacher on a full time basis, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for a permanent post. This Ofsted rate Good School supports 4-16 with complex social, communication and interaction difficulties, including autism. This role would be based across KS1 and KS2 and maximum number of students per class is 10 with 2 support staff. Full time - View to Permanent - 8:30 - 16:00
For the right person, the school can be flexible in a 3 or 5 day working week.
This role is not suitable for someone who is in your ECT years.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Teach across KS1 and KS2
- Plan and prepare lessons
- Attend meetings, parents evenings and training
- Teach across curriculum
About you:
- PGCE with QTS
- Understanding of SEN and SEMH, particularly ASC and Communication
- Previous experience and understanding of PECs and/or Makaton
- Confident and Passionate Teacher
