Role: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant
Contract: Regular Bank Staff (Flexible Hours)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their regular bank team.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6 with classroom learning, targeted interventions and day-to-day pastoral support.

If you enjoy helping children become confident, independent learners while working in a welcoming school environment, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support learning across Years 3-6.
  • Deliver small-group interventions in English and Maths.
  • Assist pupils who require additional classroom support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Work closely with teachers to help every child achieve their potential.

  • Has experience working within a primary school.
  • Is confident supporting KS2 learners.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can adapt to different classrooms and learning needs.
  • Brings energy, positivity and professionalism every day.

Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed but experience within schools is equally valued.

Essential Requirements
  • Previous UK school experience.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two recent professional references.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
