Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Potters Bar, who are seeking a dedicated KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
The RoleAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support throughout the school day.
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil
- Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom
- Implementing strategies and interventions recommended by the SEN team
- Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil and their family
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes
- £95-£115 per day, depending on experience
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available
- Term-time only
- September 2026 start
- Two-term temporary contract with potential for a permanent role
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within a primary school setting
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
