A welcoming primary school in Teesside is searching for a brilliant Year 1 Teacher to guide pupils through that all-important reception-to-Year 1 leap. You'll be their anchor as they adjust, grow, and start building confidence as 'big kids' in the classroom.
What You'll Be Doing:Creating a classroom where learning is fun, structured, and full of encouragement
Supporting children through the transition from Early Years to KS1
Delivering lessons across the full KS1 curriculum-helping each child hit their milestones
Marking meaningfully and tracking progress to celebrate growth (and spot when extra support's needed)
Keeping the lines of communication open-with parents, staff, and the wider team
QTS and experience teaching in KS1 (particularly Year 1)
A creative, flexible approach to planning and delivery
Strong understanding of the national curriculum-and how to bring it to life
Empathy and patience when navigating behaviour or transition challenges
A belief that every child deserves a tailored approach
