Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and beverages to residents and visitors
• Assist with food preparation and maintain hygiene in kitchen, food preparation and serving areas
• Wash dishes, cutlery and kitchen equipment, and store crockery and equipment correctly
• Monitor and record fridge and freezer temperatures and maintain basic food supply records
• Follow food safety procedures and report faulty equipment, damage or potential hazards

Requirements

• Previous experience as Kitchen Assistant or similar role
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, supported by a valid Food Handler certificate or recognised UK equivalent
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and remain standing for extended periods
