Junior Quantity Surveyor (Maynooth)

A leading civil engineering company is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major road infrastructure project in Maynooth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with at least 1 year of civil engineering experience, ideally working on roads or large-scale civil infrastructure projects, to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow forecasts under the guidance of senior QS staff
• Support procurement processes for subcontractors and preparation of subcontract agreements
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and assist with valuations
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients
• Assist in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with company procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering projects, preferably road or large-scale infrastructure
• Knowledge of cost management and contract administration within civil projects
• Ability to work on-site and collaboratively within a project team
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
