We are a well-established M&E building services company established for 70 years who specialise in new build and refurbishment projects. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Warrington.
Role OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years of experience in quantity surveying within the buildings, mechanical, or electrical sectors. The role will be predominantly office-based with site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting in cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering processes.
- Conducting site visits to assess work progress and valuations.
- Supporting the preparation and submission of financial reports.
- Assisting with procurement and contract administration.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Providing support in the management of project costs and variations.
- Learning and developing skills under the guidance of the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field (buildings, mechanical, or electrical).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
