Faculty of Design and Art Junior and Senior University Researchers with fixed-term contract (RTD) in Design and Art Art - Emerging Art Practices Position type: Full time, 3-Year Contract Scope: Academic Teaching and Research Call for Applications - Junior Professor Positions in Design and Art The Faculty of Design and Art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) is opening an exciting junior academic position for outstanding candidates in the fields of Design and Art. We invite applications from artists, and designers holding a PhD (or equivalent international doctorate), who are passionate about innovative teaching, research, and artistic/designerly practice in a highly interdisciplinary, trilingual and international environment. Profile: We are seeking a junior post-conceptual artist with an active practice in spatial practices and/or performance art, who engages critically with political theory, cultural studies, postcolonial or gender studies. The ideal candidate maintains an internationally visible practice, regularly exhibiting and publishing work. Key Qualifications: Early-career academic or professional track record Strong critical and reflective approach to contemporary art practice Emerging international network Experience in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural cooperation Motivation to contribute to faculty life and the shared academic culture and governance of the faculty Research: You will develop projects addressing complex socio-cultural, technological, and environmental challenges through experimental, transdisciplinary, and practice-based approaches. Teaching: Teaching in the Art Major of the BA program and/or our new Master in Critical Creative Practices, while possibly contributing to other programs of the Faculty (60-120 hours/year). Teaching language: English, German and/or Italian.
