What you'll be doing as Junior Paralegal at Wrigleys Solicitors? You will be working in a collaborative department, providing support to fee earners across two offices. The team is structured into specialist areas including commercial property and development, landed estates and rural property, charity and not-for-profit, as well as a smaller residential property team.
- Handling Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Conducting property searches and preparing reports for fee earners
- Obtaining and arranging indemnity insurance cover
- Managing post-completion processes, including Land Registry applications and related administration
- Supporting residential property transactions through to completion and beyond
- Assisting with legal documentation, including statutory declarations
- Drafting routine documents
- File opening, closing and assisting with financial management
- Undertaking source of funds and source of wealth checks
- Time recording
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Lexcel and CQS standards
- Delivering a high standard of client care
- Keeping up to date with changes in property law, procedures and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and development
- A law degree and have an interest in pursuing a career in law
- Some previous office-based or administration experience
- Proficient IT skills - particularly Word
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Adaptable, willing, and capable of working flexibly and as part of a team
- The ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
