Role
IT Support Engineer (Short-Term Assignment)
We are seeking a IT Support Engineer for a short-term assignment (3-6 months) to support our operations during a critical project scaling phase. The role requires 100% on-site presence at our Evere location and Zaventem, with occasional work at Charleroi and Brussels. The successful candidate will join a dedicated support team of four professionals and contribute to ensuring seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire expertise in Zetes solutions and products through on-the-job training as part of the project implementation team.
Provide technical support to customers and second-line support teams, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Monitor, manage, and resolve open tickets using the ticketing system while registering new incidents as needed.
Install, configure, and maintain the equipment, and PC installations at the client locations.
- Hardware includes PCs with fingerprint readers, cameras, document scanners, photo kiosks, servers, VPN routers, and switches.
- Perform on-site and remote support as required.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a remote-controlled maintenance infrastructure.
Conduct software and hardware testing, identifying and troubleshooting issues:
- Diagnose technical problems by analyzing log files, configurations, and hardware components.
- Propose effective solutions and follow up with the development team on software implementations.
- Serve as the primary interface between the client and Zetes.
Maintain comprehensive operational documentation for hardware, software, and FAQs, primarily within a wiki-based system.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of network communication principles, including switching and routing concepts.
Proficiency in Windows desktop operating systems, including:
- Creating and managing PC disk images.
- Configuring and maintaining PC systems.
- Knowledge of security environments (certificates, PKI, HSM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with automated test environments is an advantage.
