Clermont Hotel Group offers a rich and diverse portfolio for a range of guest needs, and helps employees forge lasting and successful careers in hospitality. An experienced hospitality company, we offer a warm, guest-centred experience - but we are, at our heart, a people company and strive to connect personally with our guests, partners, investors, and colleagues to create an extraordinary experience for all.

With over 4000 rooms, 100+ event spaces, plus stylish bars and restaurants, our hotels have plenty of space for everyone to meet, sleep, and dine. All kinds of extraordinary, for all kinds of people.

As a Junior Financial Accountant, you'll be part of our Group Reporting team, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across our dynamic hotel portfolio - 16 properties and over £1bn of assets. You'll get hands-on with everything from consolidated reporting and payroll to capital expenditure and external audits.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who's ready to start their finance career, gain exposure across the full accounting cycle, and grow with the guidance of an experienced and supportive team. And to help you build your future, we offer full study support towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated results
  • Drafting and reviewing financial statements
  • Posting period-end journals and managing reconciliations (central and hotel-level)
  • Overseeing the capital expenditure review and approval process
  • Taking ownership of Group payroll accounting
  • Assisting with statutory reporting and external audit processes
  • Building strong working relationships with hotel Financial Controllers
  • Ensuring compliance with our Group Accounting Policy
  • Supporting the implementation of financial controls
  • Contributing to technical accounting work and ad hoc projects as needed

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who's ready to jump in, learn fast, and grow with us. You'll be a naturally curious self-starter, with strong attention to detail and a drive to develop a successful finance career.

  • Driven, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable asking questions
  • Strong academic background (finance/accounting-related)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • A team player who's ready to build strong relationships and take ownership

What you'll get in return

As well as all the things you'd expect from us, such as great staff areas to recharge in, wholesome meals on duty, pension and healthcare schemes, we'll take care of you at every step of your journey so that you can take care of our guests.

In fact, we're so committed to this that our 'People Promise' sets out how you can expect us to support you at every step of your application and your career with us.
