About the role

Junior Delivery Managers support the successful delivery of digital products and services within multidisciplinary agile teams. Working closely with senior Delivery Managers and experienced practitioners, you will help enable effective, collaborative delivery by supporting team organisation, removing obstacles, and maintaining delivery momentum.

As a Junior Delivery Manager at Informed Solutions, you will help teams deliver value iteratively, using agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. You will assist in managing risks, dependencies, and delivery progress, ensuring that plans are transparent and outcomes remain aligned to user and client needs.

You will contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture, encourage continuous improvement, and support the team's well being and effectiveness. With guidance and coaching, you will develop your delivery leadership capability and grow towards managing increasingly complex projects and stakeholder environments.

You will also become an active member of our Delivery Management Community of Practice (CoP), learning from experienced colleagues and contributing to the development of delivery standards, tools, and ways of working across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Junior Delivery Managers are responsible for supporting delivery success by collaborating with senior Delivery Managers, multidisciplinary teams, client stakeholders, and internal business partners.

  • Support multi disciplinary agile teams to deliver agreed outcomes on time and to quality expectations across each phase of the product or service life cycle.
  • Assist in maintaining delivery plans, RAID logs, actions, and reporting artefacts.
  • Help identify, log, and track risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
  • Facilitate or support agile ceremonies such as stand ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor team progress and help ensure transparency of delivery metrics (e.g. burndown, velocity).
  • Encourage collaborative, inclusive team behaviours and continuous improvement.
  • Build positive working relationships with team members and client stakeholders.
  • Support budget tracking, resource coordination, and basic commercial controls under supervision.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the Delivery Community of Practice.
Delivery and agile practice
  • You have experience supporting delivery within multi disciplinary agile teams (Scrum, Kanban or similar).
  • You understand core agile principles and can explain how they support iterative value delivery.
  • You can help maintain delivery artefacts and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • You provide a clear, open and transparent framework in which teams can deliver.
Delivery momentum and quality
  • You actively address internal and external risks, issues and dependencies, including where ownership exists outside the team.
  • You facilitate the delivery flow of a team, managing the pace and tempo.
  • You understand the importance of quality standards and can support teams to meet them.
Stakeholder communication
  • You can adapt your communication style depending on your audience.
  • You actively listen and respond constructively to feedback.
Commercial awareness
  • You have an awareness of project scope, budgets, and delivery commitments.
  • You can support basic budget tracking and understand the importance of delivering within agreed parameters.

Desirable
  • Experience working on public sector digital services.
  • Familiarity with delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Miro.
  • Understanding of the Government Digital Service (GDS) Service Standard.
  • Exposure to user centred design and DevOps delivery environments.
