Junior Data Systems Analyst

You will play a key role in supporting the development, optimisation, and governance of our internal systems, helping to drive efficiency and ensure best practice across our data and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal systems to support financial and operational reporting needs.
- Design and optimise data flows from source documents to reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the development and customisation of financial reports within our internal systems.
- Code Governance & Best Practice
- Promote and apply coding best practices, ensuring consistency and maintainability across all development activities.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development standards and processes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of system processes, data flows, and coding standards.
- Perform system testing to ensure functionality and data accuracy.
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users, troubleshooting issues and providing training where required.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve system performance and user experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
- Exposure to VBA and SQL is advantageous, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.

- Enthusiastic about learning and developing technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical thinker, comfortable identifying patterns and proposing solutions.
- 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three A-Levels (or equivalent).
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
