Job Description 8 Month Contract With A Local AuthorityJob Purpose
To carry out high-quality joinery and multi-trade maintenance work on vacant (void) council properties, ensuring homes are refurbished efficiently and to a high standard so they are ready for new residents as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out a range of joinery repairs and installations, including hanging doors and fitting complete kitchens.
- Complete basic plumbing tasks as required.
- Undertake wall tiling to a good standard.
- Carry out general multi-trade maintenance work within void properties.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
- Work as part of the Voids Team to help minimise property turnaround times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Use Council-provided vehicle responsibly and in accordance with relevant policies.
- Proven experience in joinery and general property maintenance.
- Strong carpentry skills, including door hanging and kitchen fitting.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- Experience carrying out wall tiling.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Own set of trade tools is essential.
- Full UK driving licence
