It's hard to find work when you struggle with your mental health. It's another story to remain in a job long-term. That's where you come in.
As a Job Retention Specialist, youll parachute in when clients need you most. Maybe theyre on long-term sick because of their mental health. Perhaps theyre on a performance improvement plan because theyre burned out from masking. They could be part of a disciplinary process because theyre struggling in their role without reasonable adjustments that they should have in place. Whatever the reason, youll be able to provide vital support.
Youll wear a lot of hats as a Job Retention Specialist. Youll know what ACAS guidance is relevant, youll support employees in mediation meetings similarly to a union rep, and youll educate employers on best practice related to inclusion in the workplace.
Each person you support, youll support for a short period of time to deal with the issues theres facing. To do this, youll use the LIFT-Model, offering time sensitive intervention and support.
You dont need to have done this exact job before. Ive supported people in mental health, employment, advice, advocacy or a similar service, we would like to hear from you. You will be part of a friendly team, with the backing of your Team Leader every step of the way.
