Position Overview:The firm is hiring a Family Paralegal for its Barnet office on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is ideal for candidates pursuing or having completed professional legal qualifications and interested in building a career in family law, particularly private law children matters.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Providing high-quality client care and case management support
- Assisting fee earners in handling family law matters
- Drafting letters and legal documents using case management systems
- Attending client meetings and taking detailed notes
- Preparing and submitting public funding applications
- Collating, organizing, and redacting documents for court bundles
- Liaising with local authorities, police, medical professionals, courts, and experts
- Managing files efficiently and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements
- Pursuing or completed LPC or BPTC, preferably with a Family Law elective (Private Law Children)
- Demonstrated interest in Family Law
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
