Java Software Engineer for SAP for Me Platform wanted

Role: Senior Java Backend Developer - SAP for Me
Workload: 5 days/week
Location: Fully remote
Project Language: English

Project Focus:

• Java development
• Development and optimization of Back End components for SAP for Me
• Focus on data persistence, system connectivity, and data exchange protocols (OData)
• Enhancing tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and observability
• Participation in on-call duties as Developer on Duty according to a rotation schedule
• Implementation of integration design patterns, especially in microservices or event-driven architectures
• Building and optimizing large-scale, high-performance web applications

Technical Profile:

• Java (11+) - extensive experience in developing production-grade applications
• Solid knowledge of reactive and asynchronous programming
• Experience with Vert.x or similar frameworks (eg, Akka)
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and integration designs
• Experience with SAP BTP, OData, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker
• Monitoring & observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
• Helm chart authoring and confident use of JUnit 5
• DevOps mindset with hands-on infrastructure knowledge

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP HANA DB
• Knowledge of SAP Kyma
• Experience with Node.js
