Java Developer with expertise in AWS

Location: Central Lisbon - Hybrid (2 days onsite/week)

Position Overview

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology and has a solid understanding of software development principles combined with practical cloud infrastructure implementation experience

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development with professional experience working with Java 21 and java 17
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for explaining complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications integrated with AWS cloud services.
• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using AWS frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance by utilizing AWS services for storage, computing, and networking.
• Participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to best coding practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues, providing timely resolution and documentation for recurring issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Java and AWS development.
