Java Developer

We're partnered with a growing FinTech company based in Mechelen who are looking for a Java Developer to join their technical team team.

They are looking for someone ambitious to further their career and take on a range of different responsibilities in the medium-long term.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that power a modern fintech application. Working closely with DevOps, data engineers, and front-end developers, you will contribute to microservices architecture, ensure system reliability, and help shape future technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy robust Java-based applications
• Integrate and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized deployments
• Work with Elasticsearch and Solr to power search and analytics features
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment to define and deliver new features
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Ensure quality and responsiveness of the application

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Java development (Java 11 or later preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Proficiency in Elasticsearch and Apache Solr
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with JavaScript (Node.js or frontend frameworks)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot ecosystem
