Senior Java Engineer - Contract

Location: Remote (Northern Ireland) Contract: Outside IR35 Duration: 3/6 months

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join an innovative local client on a high-impact project. This is a fully remote role (with occasional office meetings) offering the chance to work on innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications
• Work on full software lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to code reviews
• Ensure best practices, security, and performance standards are met

Skills & Experience

• Strong Java (8+) development experience
• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and collaborative team environments

Nice to Have

• Agile/Scrum experience
• Front-end frameworks (Angular/React)
• CI/CD and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
