Important
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled ITEA / Systems Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Marlow. This opportunity involves managing the Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) for a major government programme centred on Airborne Communications Mission Systems and Service Support solutions.
- Provide technical direction and leadership for Airborne Communication Systems.
- Lead physical and functional integration and verification activities of the Air Radio Communications System.
- Develop and write functional test procedures at sub-system and system levels for radio systems.
- Execute tests as per the procedures and create comprehensive test reports, potentially liaising with external organisations such as suppliers and the CAA.
- Manage test results, verification compliance matrices, and ensure evidence outputs meet required outcomes.
- Operate lab RF test equipment to stimulate and analyse systems (signal generators, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Support meetings with customers and suppliers by preparing documentation and presentations.
- Maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and able to drive progress independently while seeking input when needed.
- Solid knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to address technical issues and present to various stakeholders.
- Understanding of risk and configuration management.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
- Engineering degree or relevant experience in Electronics, RF Comms, or Software.
- Experience in systems engineering, specifically in a leadership role.
- Experience in verification/design of RF systems or other complex electronic or networking systems is an advantage.
- Track record in leading ITEA activity in complex or airborne/aerospace projects.
- Familiarity with aerospace specifications such as ARP4754, RTCA DO-160G, and MIL-STD-810 is desirable.
- Experience in comms and radar systems is beneficial.
- Experience using systems engineering toolsets like Polarion is a plus.
