IT Sustainability Project Manager - IT, ESG, Cloud - 100% Remote, UK

A large global organisation is looking for an IT Sustainability Project Manager who will be responsible for leading a transformation and initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of the organization's technology operations while supporting business goals.

This will be an initial 6 - 12 month+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.

The role can be worked 100% remotely from the UK.

Key Skills/Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IT sustainability strategies aligned with company-wide ESG goals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce IT-related emissions, including cloud, data center, hardware, and software life cycle impacts.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, procurement, and business leaders to embed environmental considerations into IT decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional sustainability projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring scope, budget, risks, and timelines are well managed.
• Drive initiatives such as cloud carbon optimization, energy-efficient infrastructure upgrades, green software engineering, and e-waste reduction programs.
• Collect and analyze IT-related environmental performance data (carbon emissions, energy use, life cycle assessments, etc.).
• Manage sustainability metrics dashboards and ensure accurate reporting for internal stakeholders, auditors, and external ESG disclosures.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, and Sustainability teams to drive adoption of green practices.
