IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer (SC Clearance) - Contract role - Winchester - £185.00 per day

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for an IT Support Engineer to work at a leading consultancy client on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic Support team and will provide expertise in resolving technical queries and will also provide asset management functions to assist with managing the deployment of hardware.

Responsibilities include:

- Laptop refreshes and deployment of other hardware and peripherals

- Update workflow management systems as required

- Support devices following large migrations

- Stock management including asset management of kit going in/out

- Triage and perform hardware repairs of client kit

- Assist in securing the devices in the onsite storage location

- Highlight potential issues with service/potential service improvements

Experience required:

- Previous experience of working in a technical support role, or a break/fix role related to PC's and devices

- Strong experience of supporting large migrations, and post-migration assistance to users

- Hardware knowledge including laptops and desktops

- Windows OS and server knowledge and support experience

- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues in the most efficient way

- Strong customer service skills

- Experience in managing and deploying hardware assets

- Ability to raise and log tickets where required

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC)
