Job Description

HESCO, an engineering company specialized in providing comprehensive structural engineering services and execution projects; in addition to, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Electromechanical designs; based in Spain with offices in Jeddah, Riyadh, Makkah, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon and United Kingdom.


We are looking for an IT Support for our team in Madrid, to cover a leave of absence. You will play a key role in effectively supporting our IT team, contributing to the continued success of the company. This is a great opportunity to work with the IT and global support teams on IT projects to support our internal customers.


This is a temporary position for approximately 4 to 6 months.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Respond to technical support requests received via email, Microsoft Teams, or in person, ensuring prompt and professional assistance.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS systems.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications based on user needs and company policies.
  • Assist with user account setup, configuration, and maintenance to ensure proper access to company resources.
  • Assign and manage software licenses for Autodesk, Adobe, and SketchUp, and troubleshoot related application errors and issues.
  • Perform data backups using native Windows tools and ensure data is protected and recoverable through OneDrive.
  • Document all support activities, including issue tracking and resolution steps, for internal reference and process improvement.
  • Follow up with users after incidents are resolved to confirm satisfaction and proper issue closure.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, peripherals, etc.), including tracking of asset status and location.
  • Handle basic network configurations, shared resources, and printer connections.
  • Support new device setups and secure data migration for users.
  • Assist in enforcing basic information security practices to safeguard user accounts and company data.


ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

University education in an IT discipline or equivalent professional experience.


LANGUAGES

Proficiency in English.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2+ years of relevant full-time experience in service desk/ IT.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Technical knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with design and productivity software such as Autodesk, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp.
  • Ability to provide both remote and in-person technical support.
  • Familiarity with OneDrive and Windows backup solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with users at various technical levels.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Well-organized and capable of documenting technical procedures and support activities.
