We are partnering with a leading global manufacturing organisation to appoint a Temporary IT Sourcing Manager to reinforce their IT Sourcing function during a period of high activity and strategic transformation.
This is a high-impact assignment where you will autonomously lead RFQ processes, drive measurable cost optimisation initiatives, enhance contract value, and strengthen sourcing governance across the IT portfolio.
Role Purpose
You will act as temporary support within the IT Sourcing team while proactively delivering commercial impact. The focus is clear: generate tangible savings, optimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), improve supplier value contribution, and reinforce commercial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Optimisation & Contract Value Enhancement
* Lead contract renewals and commercial renegotiations with defined savings targets
* Challenge pricing models, rate cards, and cost structures
* Identify scope optimisation, consolidation, bundling, and efficiency opportunities
* Prevent cost leakage and ensure long-term economic robustness of agreements
Outcome: Measurable financial impact and strengthened commercial conditions across the IT portfolio.
Strategic RFQ Leadership
* Define value-driven sourcing strategies (single/multi award, competitive tension models)
* Lead the full RFQ life cycle with strong commercial positioning
* Conduct benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and scenario modelling
* Prepare negotiation strategies and executive decision materials
* Drive supplier competition to maximise value creation
IT Commodity Assessment & Value Roadmap
* Assess IT supplier landscape, spend concentration, and dependency risks
* Perform detailed spend analysis and identify structural savings levers
* Analyse tail spend and rationalisation opportunities
* Define quick wins and mid-term transformation initiatives
* Contribute to a value-driven IT sourcing roadmap
Profile Required
* Strong experience in IT sourcing, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations
* Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings
* Advanced commercial and financial analytical capability
* Experience leading complex RFQs in international environments
* Ability to operate autonomously and influence senior stakeholders
* Structured, analytical, and value-oriented mindset
