IT Security Engineer

Our automotive customer is one of the world's largest international automobile manufacturers and a pioneer in innovative mobility solutions in the B2B and B2C sectors. As an IT security engineer, you will be part of an existing IT security team responsible for further developing the security environment, evaluating and implementing control mechanisms, and performing root cause analyses in the event of security incidents.

Your tasks:

• Further development of the international IT security environment within a small team
• Creation and maintenance of security guidelines, ensuring the implementation of security requirements
• Use of IAM, SIEM applications, including ActiveDirectory, installation of Firewall and data encryption software
• Identification of threats, creation of recommendations for action
• Implementation and evaluation of controls to protect the application landscape, network, and hardware, including intrusion prevention and detection
• Conducting root cause analyses for security incidents, providing patches, and addressing vulnerabilities
• Know-how transfer to team members and cross-team communication
• Participation in the implementation of the enterprise risk management program

Your skills:

• University degree in business informatics, IT security, or comparable qualification
• Proven experience in IT security in comparable roles and large IT environments
• Understanding of security operations, data loss prevention, and threat analysis
• Comprehensive security knowledge and experience with security operation centers and endpoint detection and response
• Experience with Qualys, CrowdStrike EDR, DLP, IPS/IDS, Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls, MS security systems, Defender, and Intune
• Experience with IAM and SIEM applications, root cause analysis, security incident management, incident response, SOC analysis, etc
• Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including actors and attack methods
• Strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, and enjoyment of working in an intercultural and dynamic environment
• Very good English skills
