IT Project Manager (SC Cleared)

We are looking for an IT Project Manager for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (2-3 Days per Week on site) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Candidates must be SC Cleared or be eligible to receive SC Clearance.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new capability within a secure environment. This is a new capability involving requirements definition, design, implementation planning, and service testing. You will work closely with internal customer teams and stakeholders, ensuring robust governance, effective planning, and clear communication across workstreams.
• Ownership of the full project life cycle, from requirements gathering and planning through to delivery and implementation.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal customer counterparts and cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring robust project governance, including risk management, financial oversight, and status reporting.
• Managing and maintaining detailed project documentation including project plans, reports, RAID logs, and design artefacts.
• Supporting the development and delivery of secure, compliant solutions with consideration for cyber controls and secure-by-design principles.
• Collaborating with other Programme Managers to ensure alignment with broader programme objectives.
• Attending and leading project-related meetings, capturing actions and tracking progress against milestones.
• Contributing to testing and service readiness planning for new capability deployment.

What we require from the Candidate:

• Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in IT project management, ideally in defence, government, or similarly secure environments.
• Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks and documentation standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cyber controls, secure-by-design principles, or similar security-focused delivery approaches.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating multiple teams and deliverables.
