IT Infrastructure Engineer

IT Infrastructure Engineer is required by an international IT company to join their global infrastructure team.

You will be responsible for:

• Administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, patching, and secure access management.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Hyper-V based virtualization platforms.
• Managing and optimising Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Developing and enhancing existing automation scripts, workflows, and operational processes.
• Implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Monitoring, optimising and improving operational reliability across hybrid infrastructure environments.
• 3rd line IT support.

Required experience and skills:

• Extensive experience of operating within a Microsoft-centric infrastructure environment.
• Proven ability to manage, secure, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-prem and cloud environments, including high availability, performance tuning, and reliable backup/restore operations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365.
• Microsoft Azure, including Landing Zones, RBAC, Networking, and Security.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform etc )
• ITIL
• DevOps and CI/CD.
