IT Delivery Lead - 12 Months Contract - Remote

This is initially a remote role with occasional site visits to Kirkuk, Iraq. The role involves building a new infrastructure on an Oil & Gas field. Experience in establishing infrastructure from scratch and within the Oil & Gas industry is required.

The Delivery Lead reports to the CIO and oversees the implementation and execution of IT infrastructure and network solutions. A broad understanding of Networks & Enterprise Infrastructure, including Azure Cloud, O365, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Firewalls, Wireless Networks, and other key IT platforms, is essential. The role ensures IT solutions are designed, deployed, and maintained effectively to support site operations and strategic goals.

IT Delivery Lead Key Responsibilities:

1. Support all aspects of IT delivery and enterprise infrastructure strategy.
2. Collaborate with the CIO/Programme Manager on IT investments, priorities, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure and network solutions.
4. Lead the implementation of Azure Cloud, O365, virtualization, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
5. Manage firewalls, wireless networks, and security protocols to ensure a secure and resilient IT environment.
6. Ensure IT services and solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
7. Develop IT delivery roadmaps, ensuring timely project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of IT systems and services.
9. Drive cloud-first strategies, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
10. Oversee IT infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
11. Establish relationships with external vendors and regulatory bodies for seamless IT operations.
12. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications such as CCNP, Azure Solutions Architect, VMware are preferred.
• Extensive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, Microsoft O365, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, and virtualization platforms.
• Expertise in firewalls, network security, wireless networks, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Proven track record in IT project delivery, risk management, and business continuity planning.
• Experience in high-risk industries such as oil & gas, energy, or critical infrastructure is a plus.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective stakeholder engagement, alignment, and ethical decision-making.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
