IT Category Manager - Telecom - Interim - Randstad

Hi All, We are seeking a Category Manager - IT & Telecom to join a prominent manufacturing client.

In this role, you will source IT & Telecom products and services at the best possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. You'll lead sourcing activities, support budgeting with accurate price provisioning, and execute the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process.

You will ensure Corporate IT requirements are Embedded into category strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings, avoidance, and service improvements. The role may also support major IT initiatives such as S/4HANA implementation, software sourcing, SI selection, and infrastructure-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as category lead for Corporate IT in Europe.
• Contribute to and implement the IT & Telecom category strategy.
• Lead RFx processes and negotiations.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ensure business requirements are reflected in sourcing decisions.
• Oversee sourcing of software, services, infrastructure, and outsourcing.
• Support large IT programs and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of IT & Telecom procurement experience
• Experience in IT Category Management, IT purchasing, or digital procurement
• Knowledge of software licensing, outsourcing, and vendor management
• Multi-country experience is an advantage

• Start date: ASAP
• Location: Amsterdam- Hybrid
• Duration: 6months + with extensions
