Job overviewWe're recruiting multiple IPS Employment Specialists across North Yorkshire (York, Harrogate, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, and Northallerton). This role is part of our evidence based IPS approach to help people with mental health conditions find and keep meaningful employment.

RoleIPS (Individual Placement and Support) is an evidence based approach to helping people with mental health conditions find and keep a paid job. This role will support clients who are currently involved with secondary care adult mental health services, working with local employers to secure and retain employment opportunities.
Applicants must have right to work in the UK. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa.
Responsibilities- Support clients with job searching, CV preparation, application forms, and interview preparation.
- Liaise and signpost clients to employment and training programmes within the local area, including Job Centre Plus.
- Develop knowledge and networks of employment-related support services and inclusive employers.
- Work directly with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to secure paid employment opportunities.
- Retain clients and their employers in employment for up to one year once secured.
- Ensure fidelity to the Individual Placement and Support delivery model.
Qualifications
- Numeracy and Literacy level 2 (or above).
- Minimum level 4 qualification related to IPS practice (e.g., Level 4 - Certificate of Higher Education, higher apprenticeship, HNC, etc.) or completion of care certificate during first six months if not health/social care related.
- OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in delivering employment support, health/social care support, coaching/advice and guidance.
- Evidence of additional qualifications relevant to the role.

- Completion of "Doing What Works" IPS training.
- Ability to lead a group session or training.
- Proficiency in employment related software platforms.
- Demonstration of IPS and service specific competencies.
