IPS Employment Specialist - Connect to Work

Employment Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: £32,073 per annum

Location & Coverage

Hybrid role - at least 65 % of time in the community meeting clients and employers. Work from home is an option for administrative tasks. The role covers South Norfolk and surrounding areas, including Broadland district council. Applicants should be willing to travel across the locality (from Diss to Aylsham).

Requirements

• Driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication, listening and relationship building abilities.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: coaching, mentoring, recruitment, training, human resources, pastoral support, management, mental health, education or sales.
• Ability to engage employers and advocate for clients.

Responsibilities

• Support and motivate individuals with mental health conditions to access and sustain paid employment.
• Meet regularly with clients to listen, offer support and help them identify the best job match aligned with their skills and aspirations.
• Assist clients with CV production, interview techniques and managing their health at work.
• Advocate for clients by educating and engaging with employers about the IPS service.
• Sourcing job opportunities through regular contact with local employers.
• Promote employment and raise expectations about the ability of service users to access paid employment, breaking down barriers.

Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop skills and access a broad range of opportunities within Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
