(FTIS) is the Luxembourg-domiciled EU management company, authorised as a UCITS management company and AIFM with MiFID permissions. It serves as the central platform for Franklin Templeton's cross-border business in EMEA and internationally, overseeing a broad range of funds and mandates across multiple jurisdictions. The Investment Management Oversight (IMO) team sits within FTIS and is responsible for overseeing investment management activities across a range of pooled fund structures and mandates, including UCITS, SICAVs, ETFs, AIFs, UK OEICs, and institutional mandates / separately managed accounts. In addition to its FTIS responsibilities, the team also supports associated UK domiciled entities and provides oversight support across additional regional interests, including Australia and the Middle East. As the business continues to expand, the complexity of investment structures, liquidity profiles, and regulatory expectations is increasing. In this context, the IMO function continues to evolve to further enhance the efficiency, consistency, and insight provided through its oversight activities. This role will play a key part in supporting that evolution, ensuring oversight activities are delivered in a well-structured and effective manner, supporting strong governance and clear Board reporting. This role is responsible for owning and delivering key components of the investment management oversight framework, contributing to high-quality monitoring, due diligence, and reporting outputs. The role acts as a senior delivery resource within the team, combining strong execution with the ability to exercise judgement, deliver insight, support less experienced colleagues, and identify opportunities to enhance processes and outputs.# How You Will Add Value Framework Delivery Deliver key components of the investment management oversight framework, ensuring outputs are robust, timely, and aligned with expectations set by the Head of function. Act as a subject matter resource within the team for defined oversight activities and investment strategies. Support complex oversight activities and regulatory matters requiring strong independent judgement and analysis. Provide assurance to the Conducting Officer for Investment Management and UK FCA Senior. Managers that governance obligations are being met. MI & Insight Delivery Lead delivery of complex or sensitive reporting outputs, ensuring risks and oversight conclusions are clearly articulated. Take ownership of defined reporting components, ensuring outputs are well-structured, consistent, and decision-useful for senior management and Boards. Analyse monitoring and due diligence outputs to identify material issues, emerging risks, and key changes, ensuring these are appropriately reflected in reporting. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of reporting outputs, including improvements to clarity, structure, and usability. Due Diligence & Monitoring Lead complex due diligence reviews and oversight discussions relating to internal and external investment managers, including higher-risk or less liquid strategies where appropriate. Ensure due diligence and monitoring outputs are focused on material risks, performance drivers, and key changes. Support effective oversight discussions with portfolio managers, traders, and product specialists. Develop and apply a strong understanding of investment strategies and performance drivers across asset classes. Perform analysis including attribution, trends, and key contributors/detractors. Monitor investment performance and activity, identifying, assessing, and escalating material risks, anomalies, and key changes. Contribute to the development of clear oversight conclusions, linking analysis to risks and governance implications. Committees & Governance Actively contribute to investment management-related committees, including the Investment Management and Portfolio Oversight Committee (IMPOC) and Market Eligibility Review Committee. Support preparation of materials, participate in discussions, and ensure outcomes and actions are clearly documented. Process Improvement & Initiatives Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve data quality, and increase efficiency. Contribute to regulatory, business, and process enhancement initiatives impacting oversight activities.# What Will Help You Be Successful In This Role Relevant university degree. Extensive experience within asset management or investment funds. Strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies. Working knowledge of the regulatory environment (UCITS, AIFMD, UK FCA). Professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA, FRM) beneficial. Strong analytical, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.
