Job Description
Investigo Government Solutions (IGS) are looking for PIP 1 or PIP 2 investigators, for a Protecting Vunerable Persons (PVP) team in Gainsborough, Lincoln.

This is a 9 month contract with possible extension.

The role
To work as part of a team in PVP to undertake enquiries and to support PVP investigations when required, involving interview of suspects, and gathering of evidence from victims and witnesses, digital media, and other sources.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Serious crime/PVP investigator
  • ABE trained
  • Witness video interviewer
  • Have obtained DC or DS level

We offer.
  • £170 p/day, inclusive of holiday pay
  • Monday to Friday, early and late shifts
  • Part time, 3 or 4 days a week considered

Duties involve.
  • Evidence Gathering:
    • Securing and reviewing evidence, including witness statements
    • CCTV, and documentary evidence
  • Victim and Witness Support:
    • with victims and witnesses in a sensitive and professional manner.
  • File Preparation: Assisting with the preparation of case file material and other operational documents

Essential Criteria
  • PIP 1 or PIP 2 accreditation
  • Successfully trained in Video Witness Interviewing
  • Experience of conducting PVP and/or serious complex investigations
  • Possess a sound knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to effectively use force IT systems following training
  • Demonstrates the ability to review and present information with accuracy and clear attention to detail
  • Be able to carry out investigatory duties and gather evidence at a variety of locations including at the home of the member of the public, crime scenes or on police premises
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of working on own initiative and unsupervised at times

Due to the nature of the role, you must:
  • Have a full driving licence, a Police vehicle will be provided for work use only
  • Be able to pass MV/NPPV 3 vetting
  • Undertake a drug and alcohol test
  • Be prepared to work unsociable hours
