Job Description
Overview

Inventory Controller - West Dublin. Reed has partnered with our client based in West Dublin to recruit for their Finance Team. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory levels are optimised
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies
  • Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to streamline stock management processes
  • Analyse stock data to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy
  • Implement and maintain best practices for stock control procedures
  • Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and inventory performance
  • Support the finance team with stock valuations and reconciliations
  • Use inventory management systems to track stock movements and update records
  • Manage and reconcile the GRNI account to ensure accuracy and completeness of goods received and their associated invoices
  • Monitor and analyse stock variances, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensure accurate pricing of stock, including verification of price changes and communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Perform timely and accurate stock bookings in the SAP system, maintaining integrity of inventory records
  • Implement and oversee regular stock cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Monitor and manage ageing stock, preparing reports on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborating with relevant teams to take corrective action
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure seamless stock flow and accurate reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory, providing relevant analysis and reports
  • Identify opportunities to enhance stock control processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related finance role
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for stock booking and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Solid understanding of GRNI processes, stock pricing, variance analysis, stock cycle counts, and ageing stock management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools
