Job Description
Overview 
Inventory Controller - West Dublin. Reed has partnered with our client based in West Dublin to recruit for their Finance Team. - Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory levels are optimised
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with warehouse teams to streamline stock management processes
- Analyse stock data to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy
- Implement and maintain best practices for stock control procedures
- Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and inventory performance
- Support the finance team with stock valuations and reconciliations
- Use inventory management systems to track stock movements and update records
- Manage and reconcile the GRNI account to ensure accuracy and completeness of goods received and their associated invoices
- Monitor and analyse stock variances, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure accurate pricing of stock, including verification of price changes and communication with relevant stakeholders
- Perform timely and accurate stock bookings in the SAP system, maintaining integrity of inventory records
- Implement and oversee regular stock cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Monitor and manage ageing stock, preparing reports on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborating with relevant teams to take corrective action
- Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure seamless stock flow and accurate reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory, providing relevant analysis and reports
- Identify opportunities to enhance stock control processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related finance role
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for stock booking and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Solid understanding of GRNI processes, stock pricing, variance analysis, stock cycle counts, and ageing stock management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools
