Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyne

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will coordinate the logistics of all inbound/Outbound inventory reporting to the Warehouse Manager, with occasional delegation of their duties, ensuring compliance with GDP/GMP regulations in all relevant activities. To be a proactive team player. Analyse stock errors, anticipating issues and identifying/implementing corrective and preventative measures. Review any shipment anomalies and processes. Responsibility for Inventory Accuracy & Logistics coordination (WMS, SAP & PNS).

  • Control the inventory accuracy of a fast-paced Manufacturing Warehouse
  • Investigate & root cause stock accuracy issues in the Warehouse Management System
  • Investigate & root cause interface issues into the Warehouse Management System
  • Control cycle count process & Inventory Accuracy Reporting
  • Document & control stock adjustments made by the Warehouse
  • Own stock status to drive action
  • Support team with any system issues. Escalate through Hypercare and upwards
  • Analyze open stock movements and own action plan to resolve. Investigate open TO's
  • Liaise with contract freight forwarders for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Processing shipment documentation.
  • Coordinate sample movements and shipments.
The Person
  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical Warehouse / Logistics / FMCG
  • Can communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation
  • Works within established processes and procedures with the freedom to use reasonable initiative within these.
  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Strong record of delivering against KPI's
  • Good knowledge of IT system & MS office with advanced excel skills
  • Experience of working within a busy time sensitive environment, working under pressure whilst effectively prioritising workloads.
  • Worked with ERP & WMS systems
  • Experience of working in an agile fast paced Inventory environment
  • Experience of SAP
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and have an understanding how the job role can have a huge impact on the larger business.
