THE JOB
Ekster is a global eCommerce business with warehouses in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, as well as an online presence on Amazon in the same regions. As part of our growth strategy, we are increasing our presence in the same markets through our Wholesale efforts and are therefore looking for a dynamic and strategic International Wholesale Manager to lead all our wholesale expansion efforts. This role will be responsible for building and managing a network of external sales agents and distributors across various regions, driving business growth through wholesale partnerships, and executing a global wholesale expansion strategy.
This is a full-time role, reporting into our Managing Director and ideally based in/around Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In our eyes, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in international sales, channel development, and wholesale market entry strategies.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Wholesale expansion: Develop and execute strategies to grow our wholesale presence in key international markets (USA, Canada, United Kingdom and EMEA).
- Sales agent management: Lead and support our team of external sales agents, ensuring they meet performance targets and align with company objectives.
- Wholesale channel strategy: Design and implement a roadmap for entering and scaling wholesale operations using a channel strategy i.e. travel retail, department stores, smaller stores.
- Market analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and potential partnerships.
- Revenue growth: Set and achieve sales targets, optimizing performance through strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
- Partnership development: Build strong relationships with distributors, agents, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align GTM sales strategies with company goals.
- Reporting & forecasting: Provide regular performance updates, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
WE LOVE PEOPLE WHO
- Have 5+ years of experience in international wholesale sales working for a premium brand.
- Ideally you have experience with tech / travel accessories and a global network and understanding of the global tech fashion space.
- Have a proven track record of managing agents and distributors and driving revenue growth.
- Have experience developing and executing wholesale market entry strategies.
- Are a strong negotiator, relationship-builder, and have great communication skills.
- Have an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Are willing to travel internationally when and as needed.
Profile must-haves:
- You are an EU resident or have a working and living permit valid for the Netherlands.
- You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
- You love to work as we'll need you full time (40hrs per week).
