International Healthcare Specialist

How you will make an impact

Support our development of our International Healthcare Practice in line with our underwriting strategy, whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit, with a specific focus on Medical Malpractice. The role can be based at any of our international offices, with a preferred location in London, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid or Paris and will report to our Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty.

• Development, growth, profitability and service of existing client and acquisition of new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with a panel of designated global brokers, ensuring our product and proposition is communicated, and working with regional UW teams and CBE teams ensuring proactive pipelining of new business and cross sell opportunities.
• Be the referral point in the Health Care area and be subject matter expert to the international team.
• Drive and assist with the budgeting process for the area in collaboration with our Global Casualty CUO.
• Develop and manage implementation of our marketing plan, helping to communicate and promote our proposition to our regional teams and our global brokers and large clients.
• In collaboration with our local underwriting team across international, contribute towards the growth, profitability, innovation, and service proposition of the Health Care Practice.

What you'll need to succeed

• Long experience of the Health Care Sector, preferably on international level.
• Extensive experience in underwriting as well as servicing multinational clients. Ability to underwrite multiline accounts.
• Strong expertise in analysis risk, interpretation and analysis of claims, and appropriate deployment of loss control resources.
• Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop broker relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication skills and focus on quality.
