Job Description
Department Overview 
The IA & FinRep department works with complex hedge funds, providing technology driven financial reporting solutions. We offer expertise in US GAAP, IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP, and support clients on regulatory requirements.
Job Description Responsibilities- Prepare or review financial statements, ensuring compliance with the fund domicile regulations and applicable GAAP.
- Utilise the HedgeServ Financial Reporting tool and third party bespoke applications to develop template statements.
- Co ordinate and chair weekly calls between Auditors, Investment Managers and HedgeServ teams, tracking project status and resolving queries.
- Build detailed knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations (e.g., AIFMD, UCITS, CFTC) to advise on disclosures and challenge auditors when needed.
- Coordinate the year end financial statement process, addressing all stakeholder queries promptly.
- Research GAAP and regulatory queries, preparing summary memos for internal circulation.
- Identify and investigate errors or problems early, providing guidance for resolution.
- Review the work of others to ensure timely and accurate delivery on agreed timelines.
- Maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders across multiple global offices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics (minimum 2.2) or related field.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a 3 or 4 year training contract at an audit or fund administration firm, plus minimum 2 years post qualified experience.
- Strong technical skills with detailed knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and/or Luxembourg GAAP.
- In depth understanding of fund industry regulations and disclosure requirements.
- Proven ability to guide, motivate and coach staff, ensuring development of their knowledge and competence.
- Strong leadership and IT skills, proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
