Interim HR Business Partner

A large London based organisation within the higher education sector is seeking an experienced Interim HR Business Partner to provide high quality strategic and operational HR support across a diverse client group. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative HR function during a period of organisational development and change.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering people initiatives that support engagement, performance and organisational effectiveness. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and local HR teams to ensure a consistent and inclusive approach to people management.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with leaders to implement local people strategies aligned to organisational priorities
  • Leading succession planning, talent management and supporting development of a diverse talent pipeline
  • Supporting recruitment for senior roles and ensuring effective, inclusive selection processes
  • Providing guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters including informal resolution and formal casework
  • Working with managers to drive improvements in performance, engagement and retention
  • Supporting organisational change and restructuring activity in partnership with specialist HR teams
  • Promoting wellbeing initiatives and embedding a positive culture across the client groupCoaching and developing line managers and local HR colleagues
  • Contributing to HR projects, working groups and wider people initiatives

Essential experience

You will be an experienced HR Business Partner with a strong track record of delivering people solutions in a higher education organisation. You will bring credibility, professional judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Managing complex HR issues such as performance, employee relations, restructures and TUPE
  • Designing and delivering people plans that have driven measurable improvements
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, succession planning and talent management
  • Experience enhancing engagement, retention or wellbeing within a client group
  • Evidence of delivering successful EDI initiatives
  • Line management experience
  • Working within a large or matrix organisation
