Job title: Interim Head of HR (4-6 months FTC)
Location: Gatwick (hybrid) working 2 days per week in the office
Salary between £70,000 - £100,000 depending on experience + car allowance + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25 day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position summary
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of HR to join the business on a 4 to 6 months fixed term contract. This opportunity will see you partner strategically and operationally with two of our fantastic business categories, playing a crucial role in driving the people agenda coupled with leading complex change projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the people processes to ensure the organisation has the necessary critical capabilities and fostering the ongoing development of talent for key roles.
A day in the life of a Head of HRThis position offers a unique opportunity to be a strategic advisor to the business category leadership teams in the UK. Acting as a trusted advisor you will have a critical role to play in enabling our business categories to deliver their full potential and be fit for the future, through driving brilliant strategic and operational people initiatives. You will:
- Lead all HR's practices providing an employee-oriented high performance culture emphasising quality, productivity, goal attainment, and empowerment.
- Lead and facilitate transformational change programmes
- Acting as talent expert, understanding the workforce plan, driving skill development and identifying talent for roles.
- Work closely with the wider HR teams across the Ulrich 3 box model to support and deliver for the business areas.
As the successful candidate, you will bring a wealth of HR and complex change management experience coupled with your ability to navigate within a complex matrix organisation. You will have a proven track record of operating as a strategic HR professional within a senior leadership team, contributing to the broader business agenda. Your ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels within the matrix will be a key strength, complemented by your deep understanding of our business from a commercial perspective. Resilience will be one of your defining qualities, allowing you to thrive in ambiguous environments and navigate yourself and stakeholders towards positive solutions.
You'll also be able to demonstrate previous experience of:
- Developing and coaching senior leaders to deliver in a high performing team environment that enables people to be the best that they can be.
- Achieving results through great influencing , communication and collaboration skills.
- Leading and managing complex change through the effective use of organisation design, development and business transformation techniques.
- Experienced in employee/labour relations.
- If you have experience of working an FMCG environment previously this would be desirable.
